Cecilia at The Kitchen’s Garden offered this challenge: take a photo of what you see when you look out the back door of your house. To see what Cecilia sees, visit her remarkable farmy blog at http://thekitchensgarden.com/2013/05/22/what-i-see-from-my-back-porch-a-challenge/.
Here’s my “laptop view”–what I see when I’m writing. It’s pretty jungle-y out there, but if you look hard, you can see the arbor and the swings. Time to enjoy them now; soon it’ll be too hot!

I took this shot yesterday, during the rain. It’s much brighter today, and more interesting: thus the next shot.
These little guys were sparring for territory (or courting?) a little while ago. Ease up, guys. It’s a big deck–room for everybody.

Cute lizards! And I love your deck. Very picturesque. 🙂
Thanks! And thanks for the contest post, too. I’ll get back to it soon. Definitely interested.
I like the opening in the fence enticing one to see what lies beyond. Joy
What a pretty view! I like your deck. We’ve been trying to decide on a deck/patio, ground level/raised…too many decisions! Ours would require steps down from the kitchen door. Thanks for sharing with Miss C’s blog.
Thanks, Patti. Our deck has been pretty neglected so far this year, but we’ve had an unusually cool spring. I’ll get it prettied up and post again. Thanks for stopping by and for commenting.
