I’ve been absent from this blog for a while, but I have a good excuse.
In mid-January, I attended a fabulous writers’ conference, Writers in Paradise, at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. It took a while to come back to earth, but here I am. That experience sparked the idea for a post about writing workshops and conferences in general, which I have written for Wordsmith Studio, a fine collaborative of writers of all stripes.
The article has grown into a series of three posts. Start with the intro you’ll find here, posted Monday, February 11. Today’s post is A Writing Workshop Primer: What, Where, Why? Part One.
Stay tuned! I’ll post a link in the coming days to two more installments as they appear at Wordsmith Studio, or you can simply return to the WS site to follow. I’m hoping this info will be helpful to those who haven’t yet attended workshops or conferences or who need a refresher on the workshop/conference scene.
I’d love it if you would read and comment on these articles on the WS site. Wordsmith Studio is all about conversation and sharing knowledge, so add your thoughts, your opinions, and your questions to the mix!
