2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 6,900 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 12 years to get that many views.

  1. I just found my stats with a Happy New Year from WordPress. So my stats were only about 1,300 views, so you’ve got me beat on that one! But mine, too, had lain fallow until May of this year, when I got into the women’s issues rants.

    1. So true, but if I don’t keep to some sort of schedule, I’ll drift away from the blog, I’m afraid. And I do enjoy it. I’m a little at a loss for ideas right now–too much holiday season, I suppose!

  2. Compared to some of my blogger friends’ sites, these stats will seem pretty lame, I’m afraid. But they’re significant to me. I started this blog back in 2011 and promptly neglected it. Not until I participated in Robert Brewer’s platform challenge in April 2012 did I attempt to revive it. I’m still not the most consistent blogger, but it’s been a fun ride, and I intend to keep going. Thanks to all of you who have contributed your time and your presence and especially your comments here! Happy New Year!
